The CARAS Conference is just a few weeks away, on Friday May 26. There are a lot of developments and news for you, and I hope to see you at the event.
Also, we will be doing a special Saturday morning set of meetings, which are free to people who register for the conference, but if you are not attending the conference but want to attend these Saturday meetings, you can contact Richard Sprott - just let me know of your interest.
The Saturday meetings:
(1) A meeting for Kink-Identified Clinicians (and clinical/counseling grad students), facilitated by Anna Randall of TASHRA (The Alternative Sexualities Health Research Alliance) and Alycia Williams of GLSHA (Great Lakes Sexual Health Alliance). This is a meeting only for clinicians and will observe the confidentiality requirements of the profession - a space for people to discuss the challenges and joys of serving a community you are part of and identify with.
(2) A meeting for researchers, to discuss current work and possible collaborations, to discuss the current state of the field in terms of research on kink, poly, etc, facilitated by Richard Sprott of CARAS (Community-Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities)
These will be from 10 am to 12 noon, at the Center on Halsted where the Friday conference is held. The Kink-Identified Clinicians meeting will also be eligible for 1 CE hour
