Community-based research cannot happen without the deep involvement of the community - in helping to decide what questions to address, what methods to use, and how best to get the word out about the results of the research.
Community support for discovering and exploring new findings, new insights and new ideas is crucial to the success of CARAS.
Over the years, we have received support from the following community organizations and community members:
CLAW - a national leather charity
Renegades and Southbay Cigar & Boot Munch
Society of Janus
Northern California Leather Sir, Leather boy, and Community Bootblack
Alameda County Leather Corps
