Activities and Services in June

CARAS has a number of activities and services happening in June, and you are invited to engage with them this coming month!  It is a great way to network in this fast-growing field.

  • June 19: CARAS monthly webinar series on Saturday, June 19: Using Systemic Therapy as a Navigation Tool for Alternative Sexual Landscapes, presented by Karina Kehlet Lins.

  • June 26: Group Mentoring! Our last group mentoring for this mentoring cycle, all CARAS subscribers are invited. 9 am Pacific US / 12 pm Eastern US / 6 pm Stockholm/Prague

  • Submit proposals to present at the first CARAS-CLAW Research and Clinical Conference (C2C) November 26-28 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Using Systemic Therapy as a Navigation Tool for Alternative Sexual Landscapes

Learning Objectives:
-    Understand how systemic interventions can be transferred to sex therapy
-    Learn about systemic interventions specifically designed to work with sexual issues
-    Understand the advantages of using systemic therapy when working with specific populations, such as the kink and the polyamory community  

 

Karina Kehlet Lins is an international psychologist and psychotherapist, receiving her Msc in clinical psychology in Brussels, Belgium in 2001 and finishing a four year training course in systemic psychotherapy in 2005, also in Belgium. She has worked as a queer-friendly therapist with relationships and sexuality for 20 years now, and after several years of teaching sexology at universities decided to specialize in sex therapy in Germany. After obtaining her license to practice sex therapy, she was asked to become the head of the two-year program in sex therapy at The Institute for Systemic Impulses in Berlin. She is also a supervisor for LGBT+ Denmark. Karina has published several books for clinicians and works in four languages.
